“It’s been a few years since I had a need for a sparkie/gas fitter and therefore last used Thornbury’s to get the problem fixed, but my recollection of their previous service standards was enough for me to again seek out Thornbury’s first. The company control has since passed to Paul and it’s great to see that the “family standard” has remained. It’s the attitude that sets them apart! Yes they’re tradies, but they obviously all skipped the course “Being a Tradie 101″ at Tech school. That’s the course which has generated so many tradies who roll up late, never think of letting you know they mightn’t make it at all, and if and when they do arrive, give off a strong vibe of not really giving a toss about the customer’s needs and just start work, offering a few grunts along the way as their best efforts at engaging. Kael and Paul however were the complete opposite. On time, genuinely engaging with me, having a bit of banter and showing a bit of themselves and their own lives whilst still getting on with the job in a prompt and efficient way, then making sure everything was cleaned up and the work done fully explained. So well done guys, the right attitude, combined with your existing skills really does make a difference and means that once again, Thornbury’s will be the first name that springs to mind when next we need a sparkie or gas fitter. There’s nothing worse than waiting around all morning for a tradesman who is going to arrive “sometime in the morning” At Thornbury, they give you a two hour time window and they are the only contractor I have used that send you a text to confirm your appointment and then another text when the tradesmen is on his way to your house.
Kael the Electrician who did the work was on time, polite, did a great job and cleaned up completely after doing the work. I’d highly recommend Thornbury Electrics”.
