THORNBURY ELECTRICS – SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Booking Confirmation
By clicking the link in our SMS and replying “Y”, you are confirming your booking with Thornbury Electrics and agreeing to these Service Terms & Conditions.
If we do not receive a “Y” reply, your booking is not confirmed and your appointment time may be offered to another customer.
2. Pricing
Service Call
A $165 service call fee applies to all bookings.
Labour Charges
Labour is billed at $36 per 15 minutes.
All labour is charged in 15-minute increments.
Prices include GST unless stated otherwise.
Parts
Parts required for repair are billed separately.
If a customer supplies their own parts, a $66 fitting fee will apply per part fitted.
3. Travel Fees
A travel fee may apply for properties located outside a 50km radius of the Perth CBD.
Travel fees vary by location and will be advised at the time of booking.

4. Warranty Jobs
If your job is covered under a manufacturer or retailer warranty:
- Costs are covered by the warranty provider as per their terms and conditions, unless specified otherwise.
IMPORTANT: If it is found that the issue is not covered under warranty, charges will apply as per the pricing listed above.
5. Appointment Window & Arrival Times
We operate using the following arrival windows:
- AM: 8:00am – 12:00pm
- PM: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
Exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed due to traffic, job duration, and scheduling efficiency.
The technician will send an SMS when they are on the way.
Customers may phone the office on the morning of the appointment for an approximate ETA.
6. Access Requirements
You agree to:
- Provide safe and unobstructed access to the appliance or electrical equipment
- Ensure someone over 18 is present during the appointment and able to make payment (unless alternative access has been arranged in advance)
- Restrain pets if required for safety
- Provide parking where possible (parking fees will be passed on if applicable)
If parking is not available within 50 metres of the front door, additional charges may apply for extra time or an additional staff member to assist with carrying tools or parts.
In some cases, the job may need to be rescheduled and the service call fee will still apply for the initial visit.
7. Cancellation & Rescheduling
We understand plans can change — however:
- Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the $165 service call fee
- If the technician attends and cannot access the property or appliance, the service call fee still applies
8. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the completion of the service unless prior arrangements have been made.
We accept:
- EFTPOS
- Credit/Debit Card
- Bank Transfer (by prior approval and must be discussed at the time of booking — card payment is preferred)
IMPORTANT: Late or unpaid invoices may incur administrative fees and may be forwarded to a debt collection agency.
9. Liability & Limitations
We take care while working in your home, however we are not liable for:
- Pre-existing faults
- Age-related failure
- Manufacturer defects
We do not accept responsibility for consequential damage caused by failing appliances.
10. Agreement
By clicking the link and replying “Y”, you:
- Agree to our pricing and travel fees (if applicable)
- Authorise Thornbury Electrics to attend your property
- Accept these Service Terms & Conditions
